I was inspired by Karen Blixen's wedding hat in Out of Africa, where she was played by Meryl Streep. The piece doesn't necessarily resemble the hat from the movie, but I was inspired by the shape and the way it was worn. Not only would this be an extraordinarily unique piece for a wedding, but it would also invoke the divine fashion of the 1920s.
